Alt-rockers We All Want To might be most readily known for featuring Tim Steward, one of the vocalists and songwriters from legendary Brisbane outfit Screamfeeder. But the entire band play critical roles here, and the fact that Skye Staniford contributes vocals and songs of her own is part of what gives this album such a good sense of variety, as well as the addition of new members Scott Mercer and Arron Bool.
On The Dots is their fourth album, and with four years since their last, we reckon it’s their best yet - at least in regards to diversity and range of style and sound, with inspiration drawn from loss & isolation of NSW's south coast, as well as distinctly English-tinged introspection stemming from Steward's time spent there as recipient of the Grant McLennan Fellowship.
