Brew Café and Wine bar are collaborating with Back Bone and local artists to hold a Variety Cabaret in the heart of the city on Monday 13th August 2018 from midday at 1 Lower Burnett Lane 4000, Brisbane QLD.

Since the implementation of Queensland lockout laws in the last year there has been a decline in the venues that once provided Brisbane with fresh entertainment. Brew is breaking the mould and showing Brisbane something more than the DJ deck and ID scanning rinse and repeat and strives to celebrate the community organisations and artists trying new things.

A free look into local entertainment to kick off your Ekka week.

This family friendly event is open to everyone to come in and see what’s on offer. The aim of the event is to educate the public of the organisations working to provide creative spaces for youth and young at heart here in Brisbane, and to support the emerging diverse entertainment in Brisbane, the likes of which has seen the rise of the Presets, The Mouldy Lovers (who played one of their early gigs in Brew) and many others.

The event will include live slam poetry by Jonathan Sri, Circus sideshow, Live music, Magic and more. Full bar and menu will be available.
