COVID-19 Pandemic: Concerns Over Refugees in Detention

Since last year, the Kangaroo Point Central Hotel has been used as an 'Alternative Place of Detention', holding refugees and asylum seekers evacuated to Australia from offshore detention facilities on Nauru and Manus Island. Detainees at the hotel are worried about the lack of protective measures taken to ensure their safety should an outbreak of COVID-19 occur inside.
