INTERVIEW: Queensland LNP's "power grab" bill for land ownership

This week, Queensland farmers and residents delivered an open letter to Premier David Crisafulli’s office… 

It called on the LNP to withdraw the State Development Amendment Bill that would give Deputy Premier Jarrod Bleijie sweeping powers to fast-track major development projects across mining, gas, tourism, and infrastructure.

Opponents argue the bill bypasses crucial environmental assessments and strips away private property rights from local landholders.
