The US President’s former chief strategist has been asked to testify before a grand jury about the alleged ties between Russia and the 2016 Republican Presidential campaign.
Steve Bannon was summoned by special counsel Robert Mueller last week however, some commentators believe it could be a pressure tactic to induce Mr Bannon to co-operate fully with the investigation
Mr Bannon was a champion of the America First agenda and a close associate of the President during the election campaign and Trump's first few months in office.
