The French President has claimed French charities are using ‘lies and manipulation’ to encourage migrants to move to Britain for a new life.
In a speech at the Channel Port, President Emmanuel Macron said that charity workers were dissuading migrants from seeking asylum in France.
He has since stated the accusations were just lies fueled by charities to discourage migrants from seeking asylum in France and manipulate them into believing they could reach the UK.
