Australian researchers from the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute and John Hopkins University have began to develop a blood test that could significantly increase early-stage cancer diagnosis.
The test, which is able to test for eight out of ten of the most common cancers, is currently returning a 70% positive result in a limited clinical trial.
People over fifty are the most likely to benefit from the test, as well as young people with family histories of disease.
