Legislation banning donations from property developers to local and state politicians will be introduced into Queensland Parliament within the next six months, headed by the Labor state government.
The ban would be a blow for the Liberal National Party, who receives nine of every ten dollars donated by the development sector, according to analysis by Fairfax Media.
Former LNP Leader Tim Nicholls, responded by calling for the ban to extend to political donations from unions.
