U.S President Donald Trump is threatening to withhold aid to Palestine for not respecting his decision to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.
The Trump administration has also moved to withhold half of their aid payment to the UN Agency that assists Palestinian refugees.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas has called Trump’s decision “a slap in the face” and has rejected to meet with U.S Vice-President Mike Pence during his visit to Israel.
Many are fearing that Trump’s decision will only escalate the decades long Israeli-Palestinian conflict with mass protests erupting across Palestine.
