Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people will remark today as Invasion Day, as the Government faces more pressure to change the date of Australia Day.
The New South Wales Aboriginal Land Council says many of its members supported a date change, believing it would unify all Australians.
The campaign to change the date, has increasingly been led online by young Indigenous people.
Neither the Federal Government nor Opposition have shown support in changing the date of Australia Day, with Citizenship Minister Alan Tudge calling it a ‘great unifying day’.
