Many areas in regional Queensland have enjoyed a rise in employment, according to data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Deputy Premier and Treasurer Jackie Trad believes that these figures released by the ABS yesterday are a result of Labor’s economic policy.
Ms Trad says the data reflects a reduction of youth unemployment in important regional areas such as Ipswich and Cairns, although she believes more can be done to assist young people entering the workforce.
