Researchers from Victoria, working in conjunction with a team in Japan, have developed a blood test which is able to detect symptoms of Alzheimer's disease up to 20 years in advance.
According to scientists from the Florey Institute, the test is 90% accurate and will make testing easier, cheaper and more widely available.
Currently, up to 320,000 Australians are affected with Alzheimer’s.
