Poland’s Senate has approved of a controversial bill making it illegal to accuse the Polish state of complicity in the Nazi Holocaust.
The bill sets a fine or a maximum three year jail term as punishment, with Polish Prime Minister Andrzej Duda stating Poland has the ‘right to defend historical truth’.
The bill has outraged Israelis, describing it as an attempt to rewrite history and deny the Holocaust.
