Elon Musk is sending one of his Teslas into orbit around Mars on board the SpaceX Falcon Heavy’s first test flight.
According to SpaceX, Falcon Heavy is the world’s most powerful rocket in operation and is designed to send satellites into space for governments and private companies.
Musk says that test flights normally contain concrete or steel blocks, but he is more entertained by the idea of sending a Tesla Roadster playing the song ‘Space Oddity’ by David Bowie for a billion year elliptical orbit.
