The Queensland Strawberry Growers Association has created a fruit fly awareness campaign, after it confirmed two cases of larvae-ridden strawberries were sent to South Australia last year.
Queensland Strawberry Growers Association industry development officer Jennifer Rowling, says the biosecurity breaches put the industries reputation at stake.
The industry has since taken action to educate growers, with information sessions scheduled with Biosecurity Queensland this week.
