The Brisbane City Council has launched an investigation after six instances of dingoes being illegally registered as pets were revealed.
Under State law, dingoes are an invasive species and cannot be kept as a pet.
The Council will be performing checks into the six animals currently registered as dingoes; any which are found to be Australian dingoes will be seized.
