Put Us First Fest is an all ages day of workshops for women and non binary folks who want to pursue music, whether it’s their hobby, passion project or career, presented by 4ZZZ and QMusic.
PUF Fest will be a hands on learning experience in a non-judgemental environment led by Brisbane's best in their fields. We'll be covering a broad range of topics on the day, including:
- Live audio production with Anna Whitaker (audio engineer for QPAC, The Triffid, Bleach Festival and Woodford Folk Festival)
- Learn to DJ with Dameeeela (4ZZZ DJ, WAVEY, Listen Out Festival, Laneway Festival and a regular feature on Brisbane's club circuit)
- Marketing 101 with Sarah Chipman (Title Track), Ash Kissane (Mucho-Bravado, CONTROL) and Elizabeth Ansley (Mellum)
- Songwriting workshops with May Lyn teaching you how to produce electronic music, Kaylah Truth on writing the perfect hip hop track and Julia R. Anderson taking you through pedals, amps and songwriting for guitar.
- Plus, zine-making with Rebecca Cheers (Woolf Pack).
