Former Gold Coast Sergeant Rick Flori has been found not guilty of misconduct after admitting he leaked CCTV footage showing fellow officers bashing a handcuffed man in custody.
The footage showed an officer dropping a knee into a man’s shoulder and then proceeding to punch him in his head twice, and a further four more times.
The court heard that Mr. Flori wasn’t working on the night of the incident, but he later downloaded the footage and gave it to a journalist.
