A new statewide management plan for dealing with concussion injuries from sports has been announced by the NSW Government, involving parents, players and coaches.

The new guidelines for managing concussion in sport will require up to forty-eight hours of physical and mental rest before player in NSW may return to physical activity.

Minister for Sport Stuart Ayres encouraged everyone to remember the ‘three “R’s” - recognise the symptoms, remove from play and refer to a medical professional’.
