Archbishop Desmond Tutu has resigned as an ambassador for Oxfam, saying he is “deeply disappointed” about the charity’s handling of sexual abuse claims against its workers.

Archbishop Tutu’s resignation came amid Oxfam admitting that it rehired one of its workers it had sacked for sexual misconduct after the Haitian earthquake.

Tutu’s resignation follows that of actress Minnie Driver, who also resigned as an ambassador for the same reasons.
