Cyclonic swells are predicted to reach their peak along Southern Queensland beaches today with experienced surfers describing this morning’s conditions as “good as you can get”
Gold Coast Chief Lifeguard, Warren Young, advised all beaches in his region would remain closed today, with other lifesavers also expecting most Sunshine Coast locations to be shut.
However, Mr Young also advised that closures today are as a precaution, with the swell expected to drop as the week continues.
