South Australian Premier Jay Weatherill promised to increase the states renewable energy target from 50 percent to 75 percent by 2025.

Perth based company Carnegie (Car-nay-gee) Clean Energy has been granted $3 million by the South Australian government to build a two MegaWatt battery storage system in Adelaide to improve the quantity and efficiency of energy generation in the state.

Mr Weatherill clashed with Federal Environment and Energy Minister Josh Frydenberg over his state’s ambitious renewable energy plans and says the upcoming state election on March 17 will be a referendum on renewable energy.
