Perth is set to launch speed bump trials on shared bike and pedestrian paths in an attempt to get cyclists to slow down.
The speed bumps will be placed in high-traffic areas after the rising popularity in cycling brought upon more conflict between riders and walkers.
The Department of Transport said “Australia should ultimately be aiming to create separate paths for pedestrians and cyclists in high traffic areas”.
