The fracking issue is bubbling up again in the Northern Territory, with some of Australia’s leading scientists penning an open letter to the Northern Territory government.

The collection of thirty-one climate scientists and doctors have advised that the government should not permit the opening up of new gas fields through hydraulic fracturing.

The letter is also addressed to the Territory Government's fracking inquiry panel, recommending new shale gas fields are a method with too much pollution risk inherently involved.
