The residents of Papua New Guinea have been warned to prepare for aftershocks following the 7.5 magnitude earthquake, which struck early Monday morning.
Authorities have advised residents to be aware of potential landslides and to avoid multi-storey buildings.
The Geological Survey say there is no danger of a tsunami and no deaths yet confirmed.
