Risso dolphins have been found to recall memories from previous hunting expeditions and use them to plan future hunts.
Risso dolphins dive up to 400 metres for their prey and with their limited oxygen supply must hunt efficiently.
The dolphins use echolocation as they dive down corresponding to the depth in which the most squid were found during their last visit.
