Brisbane cyclists believe they have been the victims of attacks over the last month, as handfuls of thumbtacks have been spread over popular riding tracks puncturing tyres.

These “mantraps” have been found on biking tracks throughout Wynnum, Manly and Birkdale, where in the worst case groups of cyclists came across tacks glued to a strip of metal and left on the ground.

Cyclists said, "it’s just sad the extreme lengths people go to to hurt us".
