Fight to reduce the gender pay gap in Parliament

Deputy Leader of the Labour Party, Tanya Plibersek, announced an election plan to put equal gender representation, at the heart of government decision making.

If elected, the party is promising to boost the representation of women in senior positions on government boards, public service and address the gender pay gap.

Ms Plibersek says in 1972 they were saying ‘it’s time’, but in 2018, women are saying ‘times up’
