For International Women’s Day, 5.3 million women workers in Spain joined a 24-hour strike against gender inequality and sexual discrimination.
Police were instructed to remove any protesters blocking main roads in Barcelona, but the women still held position of the areas.
The Commission behind the strike advocates for “a society free of sexist oppression, exploitation and violence”.
