A man was killed after being run over by a rubbish truck early this morning while sleeping in a laneway off Adelaide Street.
Anzac Square management has blamed Brisbane City Council for the death, alleging the Council has failed to maintain the lighting in the laneway.
A Council spokesman says the lighting system was last tested on February 22 and it was in full working order.
