The Queensland Government has announced it is changing its policy to allow all girls attending state schools in Queensland to wear shorts and trousers.
Queensland’s Education Minister, Grace Grace said there was no reason, in this day and age, why shorts and pants could not be in the girls formal school uniform.
Supporters have celebrated the change, saying it is not about forcing girls to wear shorts but about giving them the choice to wear what feels right for them.
