Australia have won one gold and two bronze medals at the PyeongChang Winter Paralympics reaching their target of three medals with four days of competition remaining.

Simon Patmore won Australia’s first gold since Salt Lake City in 2002 in the snowboard cross becoming the second Australia to win a medal at both the Summer and Winter games following his bronze medal in the  200m T46 sprint at the London 2012 Paralympics.

Australian chef de mission Nick Dean said the games have been successful by any measure; it’s difficult with a specialist team of individuals but they really do have a team atmosphere.
