The Liberal National Party have won the South Australian election claiming the 24 seats required for victory.
The election has ended the ALP’s 16 year rule in South Australia with the Labor Leader Jay Weatherill announcing he will step down after the defeat.
The new Premier Steven Marshall was sworn in this morning alongside MPs Vickie Chapman who will be Deputy Premier and MP Rob Lucas who will become treasurer.
