Perth is set to test driverless cars on public roads in the coming months, with the hope of having them operating on city streets later this year.
The tests have come into question after a pedestrian was killed by an autonomous car in the US recently.
Cyber Security Lecturer at Edith Cowan University, Dr Zubair Baig, said rigorous testing must be done to ensure fatalities are non-existent.
