Over 100 people have contacted The Guardian with child sexual abuse cases within the UK’s Jehovah Witness communities.

Labour MP Sarah Champion said whenever there is a closed society with an inherent power imbalance, the potential for abuse is there.

Several MPs have demanded government action and have said it’s not only a historical issue but an ongoing child safety concern.
