School Road, The Gap, Windermare Avenue, Sinnamon Park and Chandos Street, Wynnum West have been identified as the top speeding spots in Brisbane.
Council data shows some motorists exceed speed limits by forty-four percent and Lord mayor Graham Quirk has announced a six point seven million dollar investment into a speed awareness campaign.
Infrastructure chairman Amanda Cooper says the solar powered signs introduced for the campaign have received positive feedback from the community and the project is “getting people to reduce their speeds and drive safely on our local streets.”
