A dachshund has come back to life following her death from a venomous snake bite at her home in Valdora, north of Brisbane.

Portia was rushed to her local vet two weeks ago and was pronounced dead, a week later she walked out happy and alive, as if nothing had happened.

Doctor Daniel Capps, who saved Portia’s life called it a miracle, saying that snake bites in cats and dogs are horrible and that they often don’t go well.
