The Office of Fair Trading will be investigating over a dozen Brisbane souvenir stores over the sales of fake Indigenous artwork.
The investigation is to ensure stores are not misleading consumers about the authenticity of Indigenous artwork.
The crackdown comes in the lead up to the Commonwealth Games to ensure tourists are supporting Australia’s Indigenous art community.
