The Australian Communication and Media Authority Watchdog, have launched a formal investigation into Channel 7 over complaints of racist statements being aired on a Sunrise panel show.
The discussion about ‘white families’ being allowed to adopt abused indigenous children has received massive criticism with one panel member saying the stolen generation were removed for their own well-being.
ACMA says there has been a significant amount of community concern expressed about the broadcast. No apology has been issued by Channel Seven to First Nations peoples over the comments.
