Former French president, Nicolas Sarkozy, is facing trial for alleged corruption charges relating to the illegal funding of his 2007 campaign.
Mr Sarkozy is accused of bribing the judge with a promotion, in exchange for information on the campaign investigation.
The call in question was wiretapped by police and both the judge and ex-president have denied all wrongdoing.
