Brisbane’s iconic Newsagency, Rankins on the mall, will be closing at the end of May to make way for a redevelopment in Queen Street Mall.
An online petition, launched last Thursday, is calling for the Brisbane City Council to let Rankins on the mall stay in Queen St.
The Newsagency opened in Toowoomba in 1889 and moved to Brisbane 35-years-ago, it has been a popular meeting place for locals ever since.
