The Australian Bravery Awards was announced for people who have performed acts of courage in dangerous situations.
Sohan Senanayake received the award after saving an unconscious woman from being hit by a train in 2013.
Additionally, the late Tori Johnson was awarded a posthumous Star of Courage for acts of bravery throughout the Sydney Siege in 2014.
