The Western Australian Department of Corrective Services has been conducting a review into how an indigenous woman was left to give birth in her jail cell last month.
Despite pressing the alarm for assistance, the woman gave birth after medical or custodial staff failed to arrive.
The woman who was thirty six weeks weeks pregnant has since been released on bail from Bundyup women's prison while an inquiry was launched.
