More than a third of Indigenous people have been the victim of direct racism online in a new national report.

The majority of Indigenous people using social media were selective about what they posted fearing racism and violence from others, the Social Media Mob: Being Indigenous Online report has found.

A respondent to the survey replied saying that the comment section of a news article on Aboriginal people is the worst stereotyping of Indigenous people with racist memes being shared and YouTube videos being taken without permission of Aboriginal people.
