A 138-year-old General Store in Outback Queensland town, Eulo, is potentially closing its doors this year, forcing residents to travel 2 hours to the next town to get groceries.

Store owner Emily Geiger says she put the store up for sale a year ago, after experiencing health issues, and says no one has shown any interest.

Town residents fear the store’s closure could drive tourists away from stopping in the town before going in to the bush, impacting the economy of the small town’s community of 50 people.
