The first monsoonal rains of the year have flooded parts of the crowded Rohingya camps in Bangladesh, raising fears for nearly one million refugees.

Aid workers said the heavy downpour has hindered relief efforts, and turned the world's biggest refugee camp into a quagmire, fearing for the welfare of the refugees.

Last season, monsoon rain triggered mudslides in the refugee district of Cox’s Bazar, killing at least 170 people.
