Queensland is reportedly responsible for up to sixty-five percent of the total loss of native forests in Australia.
This comes after an area about seven times the size of Brisbane has been cleared from twenty-fifteen to twenty-sixteen.
Climate Council spokesman Professor Will Steffen says Queensland is responsible for 19 million tonnes of greenhouse gas pollution in 2015.
