Cannibal Mice signals the end of high pest populations in farming areas

Reports of mice resorting to cannibalism may signal the end of high pest populations in farming areas across Australia.

CSIRO researcher Steve Henry explained that cannibalistic behaviour was a common phenomenon, occurring when there is no food source and the mice had become diseased.

Two months ago, it was found that mice had begun breeding in plague-like populations across the country, though these gruesome observations hopefully mean the issue is coming to an end.
