Water taxis and city-sight tour boats could begin operating along the Brisbane river from next year, with the delivery of on-water transport hubs one step closer.

The Brisbane City Council has committed $8 million dollars toward the project and confirmed the development approval for facilities at New Farm and Dutton Park.

Infrastructure chairwoman Amanda Cooper said they’ve also been talking about building facilities in West End and South Bank but there are a number of locations across the city that would be great.
