Andrea Edwards is an employee at the Domestic Violence Action Centre, and says her service has seen many women with children conceived as a result of rape or sexual coercion.

Queensland Police data reveals there were over 1600 rapes and sexual assaults in Ipswich from 2012 to 2017, however, domestic violence professionals fear the number may be much higher.
